The Dutch harpsichordist Arend Grosfeld has studied and worked with baroque specialists such as Sigiswald Kuijken, Peter Kooji and Philip Pickett. He has taken various masterclasses with Skip Sempé, Pierre Hantai and Gustav Leonhardt. Arend Studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague and at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. In Basel he specialized in Basso Continuo with Jorg-Andreas Botticher, Andrea Marcom and Jesper Christensen. Arend Grosfeld performs regulary as a soloist and ensemble player of both early and modern music.
In September 2011 Arend performed at the international festival of Ambronay. Here he played Bach's 'Hohe Messe' under the leadership pf Sigiswald Kuijken touring across France,Italy and Portugal.He has also performed numerous concerts with the German baroque ensemble, 'NeoBarock' throughout Europe. He taught Basso continuo at the Korea National University of Arts in Seoul, South Korea. Next to his musical activities, he is also researching Korean traditional instruments in death at the Academy of Korean studies.
